AIT EXPANDS TO THURNAU - UP TO 400 NEW JOBS

ait-deutschland GmbH is expanding! With the construction of another production site in the neighboring industrial area of Thurnau. On an area of 20,000 m², heat pumps will be manufactured there in the future.

In 2016, the Thurnau East industrial estate was expanded by an area of around 18 hectares to a total of 42 hectares. ait-deutschland GmbH is now the ninth company to settle at the Thurnau site.

"A wide variety of innovative companies have found a home in our town in recent years, and ait-deutschland GmbH fits in perfectly!" said Mayor Martin Bernreuther.

The corporate philosophy of ait-deutschland, which is part of the NIBE Group, centers on responsibility towards nature and our fellow human beings, but above all on the concept of sustainability.

"The heat pump is the heating system of the future. For us, our motto 'Create a better climate' means using intelligent products to make the world a better place - for us and for future generations," says Marco Roßmerkel, Managing Director of ait-deutschland GmbH.

With the production of innovative heat pumps, the company makes a significant contribution to the provision of environmentally friendly energy and CO2 reduction. The heat pump is an innovative solution for a better climate.

The construction of the production facility will create around 400 new jobs, an immense boost for the entire Kulmbach district. In neighboring Kasendorf, the headquarters of ait-deutschland, an expansion was not possible for reasons of space.

In the industrial area of Thurnau, on the other hand, a plot of land of sufficient size was found, located directly next to the Thurnau Ost freeway access road. The proximity to the neighboring, recently settled forwarding company Emons, which acts as a storage and transport company for ait, also played a role in the choice of location.
